Olivia Pratt Korbel’s parents, John Francis Pratt and Cheryl Korbel were responsible for her brutal murder on the evening of August 22, 2022. Olivia Pratt Corbel was born in England on June 13th, 2013. Cheryl Korbel, Olivia Pratt Korbel’s mother, was 46 years old when her daughter was killed.
Olivia was the youngest of three and was raised in Liverpool, North West England by her brothers and sisters. Throughout the nearly four-week experiment, the heartbroken mother attended every day. Ms. Korbel walked out of Manchester Crown Court with a pink teddy bear in her hand.
What Happened to Olivia and How Did She Die?
On the evening of August 22, 2022, upon hearing a ruckus outside, Pratt-mother Korbel’s opened the front door, with Olivia close after. One of two men trying to evade the unknown gunman tried to break into her house.
The man, disguised in a balaclava and a black jacket, approached the Pratt-Korbel residence as he attempted entry and fired four shots. Korbel’s mom and Olivia both died from bullet wounds to the wrist. A 35-year-old narcotics trafficker and the thief was the intended victim of the assault.
Pratt-younger Korbel’s siblings were in the second-floor home when it was burglarized. Pratt-Corbell was sent to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, where she was subsequently confirmed dead.
The 35-year-old male, according to Merseyside Police, fled in a black Audi from the dead boy and his injured mother. A member of “a well-established organized crime group,” according to the police.

The shooter was taken into custody the following day and remanded to prison for violating the terms of his license. When he had served half of his sentence, in 2021, he was released.
A 34-year-old male was arrested on multiple counts on October 1, including murder, two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
A 40-year-old guy was also arrested and accused of assisting a criminal. On October 3, both suspects made their appearance in Liverpool Crown Court.
Thomas Cashman, 34, pled not guilty to all five allegations when he appeared in Liverpool Crown Court on 21 December 2022 by video link from HMP Manchester.
Before the conclusion of Cashman’s trial, the media was prohibited from reporting that Paul Russell had pleaded guilty to aiding a criminal in October 2022. The sentencing dates for both Thomas Cashman and Russell have been set for April 3, 2023.

Thomas Cashman Convicted Of Reprehensible Crime

When the 36-hour extension for interrogation of the four suspects began in September 2022, John Francis Pratt, the distraught father of Olivia Pratt Korbel, begged witnesses to assist authorities with their investigation.
John issued a statement saying that they had lost the “real light of our lives” when Olivia was taken from them. He pleaded for anyone with knowledge to come forward and help him find the individual responsible for the death of his daughter.
John explained, “Olivia’s death cannot be in vain, so we want everyone to feel safe and secure.” “It is only possible if everyone works together to ensure that neither weapons nor gun users have a place on our streets or in our communities,” the devastated parent continued.
There was also a video with the words “silence is not an option” posted by the police. After seven long months, justice has been done.
