Loreen spent the majority of her adolescence in the Gryta neighborhood of Västers, after moving there with her family when she was small.
She grew up and still lives in Västers. In 2012, she represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Euphoria,” which catapulted her to international fame. As a result of the song’s success, she became Sweden’s first female winner since 1999 and the second performer to win twice, following Johnny Logan.
In 2023, Nora entered the Melodifestivalen competition once again, and she won with her song “Tattoo.” She became one of Sweden’s most successful musical exports after the song became a major smash and topped the Sverigetopplistan chart.
With her song “Tattoo,” Loreen became the first woman in competition history to win back-to-back years at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
